Alabama Credit Union offers a wide variety of savings & investment accounts.

Savings Accounts
Alabama Credit Union savings (share) accounts pay dividends, calculated on daily balances credited and compounded quarterly, at a rate determined by the Board of Directors. Due to the not-for-profit nature of the credit union structure and philosophy, savings accounts generally earn higher rates of return than similar accounts at other financial institutions. Savings accounts may also earn life insurance benefits on balances up to $5,000 at no direct cost to you. Electronic or automatic withdrawals and transfers are limited to three per month. Savings account dividends  are declared after the end of each quarterly period.

Certificates of Deposit
With a minimum deposit of $500, you'll earn high dividends from our competitive-rate CDs. Select the term that is right for you with maturities up to 60 months. Check our current rates, or call any office for a quote for the amount you would like to invest.

Our popular Market Index Certificate is now available for non-IRA savers! Invest as little as $500 without risk of loss to your investment, and earn dividends based on the performance of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Choose 36 or 60-month plans, and call us for details.

Special savings accounts -- Holiday Club, Vacation Club
Set aside money for a special purpose with one of our special savings accounts. With no minimum balance, no monthly service fee, and the same dividend rate paid on our regular savings accounts, you'll be able to get started easily and watch your savings grow (payroll deduction or direct deposits into your account is the best way to reach your savings goals!). Holiday Club accountholders receive a check for the balance in their accounts in early November so they can get their shopping underway while selections are best. (And there's no need to visit our office each year to set up your new Holiday Club account as long as you keep your regular deposits arriving in your account. However, if you haven't resumed deposits by May 1, you will need to visit us to open a new Holiday Club account.) Vacation Club accountholders can receive their funds anytime they choose. Ask us to set one or both accounts up for you.

IRAs -- Traditonal, Roth, Coverdell Education Savings (ESAs): You'll find them all here.

IRAs are a hardworking savings tool that usually provide tax advantages as well as excellent dividends.
